SUMMER 2020

TRANSHISTORIC FLOWS

For this weird af year, we bring you new designs along the themes of witchcraft, psychoactivity, futurism (not the early 20th Century Italian variety), Marxism, and radical social change.

This collection expands upon and pushes further the aesthetic constructions began in the last.

We begin exploring visual and textual possibilities in the trendy territory of Acid Graphics for Acid Communism, concept and coinage by the late K-Punk, and for a visual celebration of the world historic process of concrete decolonisation through socialist construction known as BRI. Yes, the 90s science magazines and Techno fliers revival is happening in a big way, and word on the grapevine is that some Designers Republic and rave anime action might be coming soon, just around the corner.

But we also harken back to the aesthetic of bible studies and inspirational platitudes – but this is not exactly *ironic*. We feel that the “Live Laugh Love” design, which originally said “HANG the Landlord, KILL the Boss, FUCK the Police, and EAT the Rich”, actually brings the genre of inspirational platitudes to its essence, and the design is actually very sincere: These are the ACTUAL things which need to take place if we are truly, and everyone are equally given a chance, to “Live, Laugh, and Love”.
