Developing from devastation and building from rubble, from average life expectancy of 35 years until the 1960s, and from having lower GDP than African average in 1980, in a global economy dominated by neo-liberalism, the PRC began to develop a private sector. Starting in 1990 with low level manufacturing (like every under developed economy), China allowed multi-national Western corporations to open factories in China and exploit its cheap labour, in return for investment capital and technology transfer. 40 years later, the PRC has become a global superpower without violence of any kind, leader of innovation in nearly every technological field, from robotics to ai to renewables to 6G.
The struggle against capitalism continues, but on economic grounds; ending bourgeois hegemony and establishing a more balanced world through the reshaping of global trade. Because war is the way of imperialism (military spending accounts for 90% of US GDP), while Chinese socialism is developing alliances with Africa, South America, Europe, and other parts of Asia based on mutual development. Socialists will beat the capitalists at the game of markets with rational planning, and through building peaceful, mutually beneficial relationships, end bourgeois global hegemony.
The entrenched and pervasive structures of capitalism took 500 years to build, and the propertarian system of which it is an extension, 6,000 - 10,000 years. Its dissolution requires strategies on a scale bigger and longer than is easily conceived or understood by any individual without many years of dedication, and will take at least a few decades to unfold.

Because in even the capitalist countries, universal suffrage, the 8 instead of 12 hour work day, women's rights, civil rights, children's rights, and many progressive reforms, which were all dismissed as absolute impossibilities, as absurd utopian dreams, became reality due to the struggle of socialists;
7. Because in even the capitalist countries, already there are today many movements, on many different fronts, toward sharing economies, cooperative ways of doing things;
8. Because private property, the absurdity of which every child understands, and capitalism, an inhuman and inhumane system which dehumanizes and takes from the many to give to the few, robbing individuals of both real autonomy and real community, can not sustain;

Reformism must be not only supported by revolutionaries, but when ever possible, assisted with pushing even further. It is no accident that Heavy Metal was born in the 1970s, during a period of industrial decline in England as well as the USA, where steel and mining industries collapsed, leaving a large percentage of a generation of young men without work in dilapidated towns rampant with homelessness, crime, and addiction. It is also no accident that Heavy Metal became a world wide phenomenon in the 1980s, during the era of global neo-liberalism, of mom and pop shops snuffed out by corporate chains, of public services and spaces conquered by extreme privatisation, of fictitious capital overtaking the banking sector, what is otherwise known as the financialisation of Wall st.
The true essence of Metal, Punk, Hardcore, all Hard Rock (and indeed, all “counter-culture”) is expression of the trauma, misery, pain, and anger caused by the cascading social illnesses rooted in the extreme inequality of capitalism. Poverty, abuse, crime, alienation, etc. are the results of the logic of capital. Property-begets-property and wealth-generating-wealth has no possible outcome other than increasing concentration of property, wealth, and power, and increasing levels of dissonance, conflict, and violence.
